The 2001 GSM World Congress, Cannes, France 20-23/2/01
The GSM World Congress is the world's largest GSM specific exhibition. Over 15 000 people attended the 2000 event and 55 new products were launched. Exhibitors and delegates are involved in all aspects of the GSM industry, including billing and customer care, customer relationship management, consulting and engineering services, industry research, service provision, WAP and mobile internet. KPMG Consulting will be present a case study on 'Outsourcing Integration & IT Management' with Tom Alexander, Managing Director of Virgin Mobile. This will explore setting up and launching a brand new Mobile Operator, platform and systems issues to enable an advanced approach to service launch and customer management, specific new IT implications of m-commerce services and future-proofing and scaling. At the KPMG Consulting exhibition stand there will be a demonstration of part of KPMG Consulting's mobile Internet capabilities. This live interaction with remote BSS/OSS applications will explore accessing services via WAP phone, real time rating via KPMG Consulting's fully integrated BSS/OSS architecture and the issues around real time content based billing in GPRS and UMTS environments.

CeBIT
Hanover, Germany 22-28/3/01
CeBIT is the world's largest trade show, highlighting all the latest trends in IT and telecommunications. More than 780,000 visitors attended the event in 2000, with product and service innovations presented by over 7,000 exhibitors. KPMG Consulting is planning to exhibit and demonstrate part of their solution capabilities at this event.

The 2000 European Broadband Communications is one of the largest pan-European events for the international broadband communications industry, with particular focus on interactive broadband services. European Broadband Communications provides a forum for discussion on the technological applications in the field of cable, satellite, broadcasting and the Internet. KPMG Consulting is planning to exhibit and demonstrate part of their solution capabilities for Cable Operators at this event.
