RiverSoft, (LSE: RSFT.L) a leading provider of IP (Internet Protocol) network management solutions, today announced that it has been selected by Easynet to manage its core service network. RiverSoft's technology will enable the pan-European commercial ISP and telecommunications company to maintain high customer service levels as the Easynet network expands to support its business growth.

RiverSoft solutions will ensure that Easynet always has an accurate picture of its changing IP infrastructure. Using this topology, RiverSoft can identify the root cause of any network problem with dramatically improved speed and precision allowing problems to be rectified more rapidly. RiverSoft will also communicate with Freshwater's service monitoring software and a custom written trouble-ticketing system within Easynet, providing these systems with vital network information for enhanced performance.

"We chose RiverSoft on both technical merit and due to the quality of service benefits the technology delivered," said Christian Keet, senior systems developer at Easynet. "RiverSoft was faster and easier to install than competitive products on the market and proved superior in accurately discovering our network - in fact we could not find any other product that would discover the layer 2 connectivity of the network. Having precise and timely information about the state of our network means we can be truly proactive in maintaining high service quality to our customers."

"As the business community's reliance on the network increases, commercial ISPs such as Easynet must be able to deliver full service availability guarantees to customers," commented Gary Read, VP marketing for RiverSoft. "RiverSoft frees up scarce manual resources allowing staff to concentrate on enhancing network performance and customer service by automating the most vital and time consuming components of network management - network discovery and fault finding."

RiverSoft will initially be used to manage Easynet's core service network consisting of nearly 900 devices. Easynet plans to roll this service out to its hosting facilities in the future to manage customer owned servers as well.
