Allocating Our Budget
We have an annual budget of more than £8 billion.
This is divided between:
- Learning Participation - £6,312 million
- School Sixth Forms - £1,514 million
- Local Intervention and Development Fund - £251 million
- Capital - £379 million
- Administration - £218 million
Total budget: £8,674 million
We deliver funds directly to LEAs, colleges or providers of work-based learning activities. The amounts are regularly reviewed to ensure that performance matches funding
Under the Success for All initiative, colleges and other providers now have the opportunity to apply for 3-year funding plans which will give them greater flexibility and security of funding.
