Manufacturing time for CD-ROMs is 7 - 10 days.
Software development time is influenced by how much development work is required. For the simple 3 - 5 page presentation, development time would be 3 - 4 days. A more complex presentation (such as the E-creation business card example) would take between 3 - 6 weeks of development.

ROM cards can be made into custom shapes if volumes are sufficient (1000+) and costs can often be surprisingly low, decreasing significantly for higher volumes.
If you are looking to test the market with a low volume run, then recordable ROM cards makes it possible to do runs as low as 50, prior to commiting to larger production runs.
